Chris Crain Hyundai

There are plenty of activities if you’re in Central Arkansas and looking for something to do! At Chris Crain Hyundai in Conway, AR, we’ve created four favorite Spring Break activities for you and your family. You’ll love our first outdoor adventure if you love the Natural State. First, let’s talk about some great parks you can visit.

Parks

Arkansas is the Natural State with many hiking trails and mountains to consider. Pinnacle Mountain is a popular destination where many like to take the hiking trail or climb the mountainside with their pet companion. If you are more of a bike rider, don’t worry; Arkansas has parks for that, too. You can comfortably ride your bike on the Arkansas River or the Quachita National Recreation Trail. If you don’t like hiking or bike riding, you can simply have a picnic with friends or family and spend time at one of these beautiful parks enjoying the beauty of Arkansas.

Local Food

As a natural state, plenty of restaurants, like the Root Cafe, should be tried. The Root Cafe is known for its ‘farm-to-table’ breakfast, lunch, and dinner in Little Rock. Mark’s Do-Nut Shop is an excellent pick if you want a sweet bite in the morning. These donuts are delicious and have just the right amount of sweetness to satisfy that craving. There are plenty of food options in the Central Arkansas area. You can sit down and enjoy your meal or pack it up to go!

There are also local breweries like Diamond Bear Brewing Company, which you can tour.

Family Fun

Spring Break means the kids are out of school, and you’re looking for activities to do. In Central Arkansas, there are many kid-friendly activities. At Burns Park, there are many playgrounds and trails to enjoy. Another family fun activity is going to Big Rock Mini Golf and Fun Park. At Big Rock, families can play mini-golf, go-kart, go to a batting cage, and more.

If you have kids who love animals, check out the Little Rock Zoo

Museums

Arkansas is the home of past President Bill Clinton and the Clinton Presidential Library and Museum. You’ll discover educational and cultural exhibitions about the 42nd President of the United States at this museum. Another museum to visit is the Historic Arkansas Museum. The Historic Arkansas Museum has excellent exhibits, like the Native American Gallery, Knife Gallery, and more.
Spend your Spring Break at one of these great Central Arkansas locations! Enjoy great local food and take a moment with nature. At Chris Crain Hyundai in Conway, AR, we want to ensure Arkansas is an incredible place to spend your Spring Break!

Are you ready to pack up and hit the road for Spring Break in your Hyundai? Before you head out, follow our steps to ensure you have a safe trip there and back! At Chris Crain Hyundai in Conway, AR, we’ll tell you the best tips for you and your passengers. Our first tip is to schedule a maintenance check-up with our service department.

Schedule a Maintenance Appointment

Before you hit the road, you want to get a checkup on your Hyundai. Maintenance checks include our technicians looking at your fluid levels, brakes, tires, and any electrical issues you could have. Even if you aren’t due for an oil change until you return, you might hit the timeframe before you head back. Our technicians can ensure your fluid levels are at their finest point.

Fluid Levels

Your vehicle needs engine oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, coolant, and more. Every car needs these fluids to run smoothly and efficiently. Engine oil is required to lubricate your parts to reduce friction and increase performance. If you drive on low oil, your vehicle will notice quickly. Low or no oil can lead to problems like your engine overheating due to working so hard without its primary fluid. While we check out your fluid levels, we can look at your tire pressure and tread.

Tires

If any of your tires have been punctured, it could cause a blowout on the road or a flat tire. Our service department can look at all four tires and determine if you need a new set or just one tire. We will look for any damages and if the tread is worn out. Tread patterns on your tires have the purpose of keeping the traction between the tires and the road. If your tire has little to no tread, your vehicle is more prone to an accident, especially if it’s raining, snowing, or in icy conditions.

At Chris Crain Hyundai, we have a tire store you can look at if you need it. There are five reasons to buy from our Hyundai Tire Center:

-We have the right tires for your Hyundai

-Offer competitive tire prices

-Expert installation by our knowledgeable and trained technicians

-We carry significant brands like Kumho, Continental, Hankook, and more

-We offer road hazard coverage on eligible tires.

Emergency Kit

While packing up for your Spring Break festivities, consider an emergency kit for your Hyundai. An emergency kit in your vehicle should include jumper cables, flares, ice scrapers, a cell phone charger, a blanket, water, and food in case of an emergency. It will grant you access to tools that can help if you break down or get stranded.

Spring Break is here! Make sure you schedule your Hyundai maintenance here for a safe trip. If you have any questions or concerns, contact us.

Winter weather has made its way to Arkansas, and while we don’t see snow every day, it’s still possible to encounter snow and ice. To ensure safety for yourself and other vehicles on the road, it’s essential to be aware of the challenges you can face with weather changes. At Chris Crain Hyundai, we’ve collected four big tips for driving in winter weather. The first step is to take your time.

Take it Slow

The key to driving in ice and snow is to take it slow. Even with all-wheel drive, you should still proceed with caution. When temperatures reach below freezing, the melted snow turns into ice, and even a little patch of ice can be hard to detect on the road. One of the best driving tips we can give this winter season is to take it slow.

Winter Tires

When you pair winter tires with an all-wheel drive vehicle, it goes a long way. Winter tires promote a higher level of traction in snowy and icy weather. Check your tires’ tread to ensure they have an excellent depth to grasp the road and drive in such conditions. Also, keep an eye on the air in your tires. As the weather changes, colder weather usually means the air in your tires will decrease, so it’s important to recalibrate your tires through your vehicle’s system, and if it still shows it low on air, take it to your nearest gas station to fill up with air or our dealership, and we’ll be happy to help.

Winter Maintenance

Along with winter tires comes keeping your vehicle’s maintenance up to date. This includes checking vehicle fluid levels like engine oil, coolant, and washer fluid. While on the road, you also want to get your battery checked beforehand. There’s nothing worse than getting stuck on the road because your battery won’t start or your tires don’t have a good tread depth on them.

Plan Ahead

Check out the weather and road map before you hit the streets. Before you travel anywhere, you should ensure the road conditions are clear enough to drive on. You can plan and see if there are any winter advisories ahead of time. A great tool to see if a road has been impacted with ice is iDrive Arkansas. iDrive Arkansas can show you numerous ways to use this application. It will show winter weather conditions, lane closures, and travel information.

Take our tips on how to drive in this winter weather, and you’ll be sure to stay safe. At Chris Crain Hyundai, we want only the best for you and your family. Stay aware this winter by keeping up with your vehicle maintenance and planning and taking it slow.

Keeping up with your vehicle’s maintenance can be challenging, but we have the friendliest service at Chris Crain Hyundai in Conway, AR. Rest assured, you can lower your stress and expect your satisfaction to rise. Check us out this week!

An oil change is mandatory every three months or 3,000 miles, and if you’re driving for lengthy travel, getting an oil change regularly or sometimes sooner is critical, depending on the oil level.

Tire Rotation

While changing your oil, ask if they can also rotate your tires. Repositioning tires will help even the tread on tires and extend their span of active use. 2024 Hyundai IONIQ 5

2024 Hyundai Kona

-2024 Hyundai Kona Electric

2024 Hyundai Palisade

Sedans

The Hyundai Elantra and Hyundai IONIQ 6 are the two 2024 sedan vehicle options to consider. The Hyundai Elantra is a compact sedan with a gleaming exterior. It has a high-resolution 10.25-inch touchscreen navigation system with entertainment. The Elantra has hi-tech features like wireless charging, Bose premium audio, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. If you’re looking for a more electrified vehicle, the Hyundai IONIQ 6 will be your pick.

The Hyundai IONIQ 6 has a futuristic profile and an innovative interior design. The estimated range of the IONIQ 6 is 361 miles. With this futuristic vehicle, charging is easy. Depending on your home charger and battery type, you can charge the IONIQ 6 in 6 hours and 55 minutes with a level 2 charger. If you’re more interested in an SUV, consider our 2024 Hyundai SUV Lineup.

SUVs

There are nine SUVs to consider at Chris Crain Hyundai for a 2024 model. It all depends on whether you want a regular-fueled electric or hybrid vehicle. Consider the Hyundai Kona, Palisade, Santa Cruz, Tucson, or Venue if you want a regular fueled vehicle.

The Palisade is an upscale SUV with many glamour features. The Palisade has enough room for 7 or 8-passenger seating, depending on your trim level. A significant feature in the Palisade as well as many other Hyundai vehicles, is the HTRAC all-wheel drive. The HTRAC all-wheel drive system gives the vehicles better traction control, especially in icy and snowy conditions.

If you want a hybrid SUV, the Hyundai Tucson Hybrid or Tucson Plug-In Hybrid are your choices. The main difference is that plug-in hybrids can use electric power while hybrid vehicles solely depend on gasoline. An all-electric SUV will be either the Hyundai Kona or the Hyundai IONIQ 5

Our New Year resolution is to help you find your next 2024 vehicle. Visit us this chilly season at Chris Crain Hyundai, and let’s go for a test drive!

The 2024 Hyundai Sonata and the 2024 Toyota Camry are both phenomenal vehicles. With the updated, innovative Sonata upgraded to a new appearance, there is plenty to discuss. At Chris Crain Hyundai in Conway, AR, we want to inform you of the differences between the new upcoming Hyundai Sonata and Toyota Camry. Let’s start with the 2024 Hyundai Sonata.

2024 Hyundai Sonata

The Sonata will make its first appearance this winter season. There are many features to look forward to with the Sonata. Hyundai has officially released the Sonata’s all-wheel drive system. The Sonata is usually a front-wheel drive base but will have the availability of HTRAC. With this all-wheel drive system, the Sonata can control traction better when on the road. The Sonata will also have driving modes to adjust the engine and all-wheel drive system as needed. Some modes are normal, smart, sport, and even snow mode.

The engine lineup for the 2024 Hyundai Sonata is as follows: a 2.5L engine, a 2.5L turbo engine, and a 2.0L hybrid electric engine. The next topic we’ll discuss is the new and improved design of the Sonata.

Unique Design of the Sonata

The Sonata has a brand new sporty look. The front grille is more prominent, and the wheels are more hearty, being 19 inches. The rear spoiler and dual twin-tip exhaust give the Sonata a beautiful, sporty appearance. The Hyundai Sonata is a beautiful addition to any driveway. Next, let’s compare it to the Toyota Camry.

Exterior Design of the Camry

The Camry has always had a modern-day vehicle look. It has a dual exhaust with quad chrome-finished tips, giving it a sporty look like the Sonata. Depending on the trim level, you can choose to have 19-inch gloss-black alloy wheels. The Camry also has LED taillights that have a striking shape.

2024 Toyota Camry

Like the Sonata, the Camry has an all-wheel drive performance as well. When you upgrade to higher trim levels in the Camry, like the SE and XSE trims, an amusing sound of peace implements a more easy ride. With the Camry comes two engine choices. These engines are the 2.5L Dynamic Force 4-cylinder engine or the 3.5L V6.

When it comes to comparisons, there is no competition when it comes to the 2024 Hyundai Sonata. Hyundais are reliable and are constantly upgrading year by year. The Hyundai Sonata is set to be released this winter, 2024. If you want to know more about the upcoming 2024 model, give us a call or head down to Chris Crain Hyundai in Conway, AR.

Hyundai is constantly bringing forth only the best vehicles. The 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe is an adventure in itself. There is much to look forward to when this vehicle drops in early 2024. If you want to know what’s to come with the newest Hyundai Santa Fe, read along with us at Chris Crain Hyundai in Conway, AR.

Design

With a new year comes a new design. The Hyundai Santa Fe has an entirely new look. It has a luxurious new look that makes it much bolder. The Santa Fe takes up a more H-shaped design that is often noticeable and flattering on other lush vehicles like the Range Rover and Land Rover. The new box mid-size SUV could get others confused for a Land Rover.

The inside is just as gorgeous as the exterior. The Santa Fe is now a third-row vehicle, with the second-row captain chairs having the power of adjustments. The third row can be reclined up to 10 degrees, but initially, the second and third-row passengers have more room to stretch out.

Powertrain

The 2024 Santa Fe will have the option of either gas or hybrid models. The standard engine with the gas base model will be a 2.5L Inline 4-cylinder engine. Under the nonhybrid hood, it can push to 277 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque. It is a front-wheel drive, but all-wheel drive is available.

For the Hybrid models, it is expected that a 1.6L 4-cylinder engine with an assisted electric motor will drive them.

Towing Capacity

Knowing how much any vehicle in your possession can tow is essential. The Hyundai Santa Fe can tow a maximum of 3,500 pounds. You can pull a small camper or a boat with that weight.

Entertainment

There are two 12.3-inch displays inside the Santa Fe. You can use wireless Android Auto or Apple CarPlay to listen to your favorite music or podcasts. It also will have dual wireless smartphone charging pads that can power up two phones simultaneously, but there are still regular charging ports to charge up any other devices.

2024 is bringing a lot to the table, including a new design of the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe. If you want to know more about the 2024 model, contact us today! There is a lot to learn, and we will answer any questions you may have at Chris Crain Hyundai in Conway, AR.

2023 hyundai santa fe hybrid driving on a bridge

Have you ever heard of an EV but didn’t really know what it was? Have you seen these futuristic looking cars and wonder what made them different from others? These are electric vehicles. Unlike regular cars, they run on electricity! In today’s world, cars are becoming more eco-friendly and Hyundai is leading with its options. They offer electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles. Both are great choices if you want to save on gas and reduce your carbon footprint. Let’s look at the main differences between Hyundai’s EVs and hybrids.

How They Work

When it comes to EVs, these vehicles run entirely on electricity. Instead of a traditional gas engine, they have an electric motor powered by a battery pack. Imagine having to wake up and you get in your car in the morning and realize you don’t have enough gas to make it to work. Well, with an EV that would never happen! Here is a list of Hyundai’s electric vehicles:

  • 2023 IONIQ 6
  • 2023 IONIQ 5
  • 2024 KONA Electric (coming late 2023 in select states)
  • 2023 KONA Electric (only sold in selected states)

As for hybrid vehicles, they have both a gas engine and electric motor. They can run on gas, electricity, or a combination of both. Here’s the list of Hyundai’s hybrid vehicles:

  • 2023 TUCSON HYBRID
  • 2023 SANTA FE HYBRID
  • 2023 ELANTRA Hybrid
  • 2023 SONATA Hybrid

Emissions

If saving the planet and making it a clean environment is important to you, then think about getting an EV or hybrid. The best part about electric vehicles is that they have 0 emissions. This means that they don’t emit harmful gasses into the air. This makes for a cleaner environment. Hybrids emit fewer gasses than regular gas cars. Have you gone outside and smelled those horrible fumes coming from large trucks? Those gasses can be very harmful!

Driving Range and Charging

Hyundai has been making a great effort to continue to improve the driving range of their vehicles. The 2023 Ioniq 6 SE Long Range model has a whopping range up to 361 miles! That’s pretty impressive. Charging is also easy because public charging stations are popping up all over the place. As far as hybrids go, the 2023 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid goes up to 56 mpg on the highway. The cool part about it is that you don’t need to charge it as they recharge themselves.

When it comes to electric vehicles, one of the best things about them is low maintenance and no oil changes! In my experience, car maintenance always seems to come up at the most inconvenient times, so knowing that there isn’t as much maintenance as a gas vehicle makes it a lot easier. You end up saving a lot of money in the long run which is a plus for me. Hyundai hybrids are designed to be fuel efficient so this saves trips to the gas station.

Hyundai is taking a step in the right direction to make the planet cleaner. Reducing pollution is important and these vehicle options allow for that. You have to think about your daily driving habits, charging options, and budget. For instance, if you live in an apartment community like I do, don’t let that stop you from thinking you won’t be able to charge your electric vehicle at your home. Check to make sure they offer charging stations in the parking area. If you live in a smaller town, check online to see where they offer charging stations. A hybrid is just as much a great choice giving you a taste of eco-friendly driving! Both are great options that Hyundai can offer! Check out Crain Hyundai’s inventory of EVs and Hybrids here!
